BOROWSKI'S ART GLASS

After visiting the pottery factory we went to the
Borowski Art Glass Blowing Studio.
Some days they blow and some days they make
glass pieces. Today it was glass pieces..
You can see the lump of red glass on the end of this
rod and the worker is shaping it against against a
flat surface. He has had it in the fire before to soften
it to make it pliable.

This worker is sitting on a chair on a chair
with his rod over the arms of the chair
as he shapes his glass with pliers as he rolls the rod.
A worker with a rod with glass on the end in the fire
to heat it so he can work with it to shape and mold it.
These are tools and rods that are used in their work.
Some of these rods are hollow for glass blowing.
They are hanging hear the side of the fire bin and to the
left you can see the workers working at the molding tables.
The man on the chair on the left is working the glass
on the rod over the arms of the chair and the people in the center
are shaping their glass on a flat surface.
This worker is attaching screws to the glass
pieces so they can be drawer pulls.
Elder Moon us holding these pellets.
This is the glass they buy to melt to make objects with.
These are heated in the fire then parts of them are shaped
or blown whatever they are working on that day.
These bins contain patterns of the many pieces they make for sale.
Each piece has several pieces and different workers make
the pieces, then they are put together to make one item.

This large glass piece has been shaped and
has been cut with this cutter then
edges will be sanded and smoothed.
This woman is working on a piece to clean and
finish the preparations for attaching it to the
other pieces for the object.
Finished products.
They only make modern art glass sculptures.
