EASTER DINNER IN LEGNICE

On Easter Sunday we were invited to have dinner

with the Zan family. After our Church services

in which Elder Moon was invited to bear his testimony

of the Resurrection of the Savior and great talks

were given of the Savior we took Sister Sheets and

went to the Zan home.

A delicious dinner was served with Polish food and customs
were shared with good people.

At the beginning a plate was passed with a cut boiled egg.

We all "shared" the egg or some sausage (keilbasa)

then the meal began.
Sister Zan's mother and her mother-in-law were there, also.

She said she had the egg dish for their benefit.

The first food serve was the warm dishes.

Here Sister Zan is with her plate of kluski (potato dumplings) and goulash.

SMACZNEGO

Here are the two Sister Zan's.
The blue plate has cut boiled eggs with mayonnaise and
chopped onion on them.
Elder Moon, Sister Sheets, Sister Zan's mother and Jacub.
They are ready to try the Pate', bread,
polish potato salad, green salad, sledge,
eggs and then ready for the ciastlo (cake).

There are several ways to eat cake and here
Damian and Samuel demonstrate two different ways.

Damian very carefully and precisely cut and loaded the
cake onto his fork to make its way to his mouth but
Samuel was wiser? or quicker with the hand
lift to the mouth.
Either way it was DELICIOUS!!

Jakub, Sister Zan's mother, Sister Zan and Brother Zan's mother.
These are very lovely women and we so
enjoyed our visit with them!!

After dinner Sister Zan sang for us in her
beautiful soprano voice.
Damian and Samuel also sang an Easter song
from the Primary song book
(and a piece of cake was the reward!).

Brother and Sister Zan with their mothers.

The group minus Sister Sheets.

A most wonderful day!!!!

The boys and Sister Zan walked us out to the car
and waved good-bye in a most pleasant way!!
