RYNEK AT CHRISTMASTIME

JARMARKI
are set up selling wares from
all over the area.
We bought some lovely amber jewelry
from Bydgoszcz so
some of the vendors come from afar.

Lights are bright and many people pass by every day.
One of the walking streets lined with
booths selling hats, gloves. toys,
jewelry, and food and much more.
Look who we found riding by!!
This was so popular the night we were there
we couldn't find a time without children there
so we cold get our pictures taken driving the reindeer!

The beautiful tree at one end of the street
on the square.

This was huge! The "fans" were
going round all the time and the statues in the
openings were moving around.
Of course, you could sit beneath and enjoy
a drink or two.
See all the hats and scarfs and gloves for sale.
Their business was booming because it
was very cold and on some days even snowing!
One afternoon we were there it was snowing and
I just cojuldn't resist taking a picture of this table of wares.
Here they are not covered or protected from
getting wet from the snow coming down.
Many of the displays were like this one in the snow.
Of course if the hats are to keep you dry
and warm in the wet weather
what better way to display them than in the
snow? Looked pretty good.
I even bought one!!
Row of Jarmarki.

Food was also available!!

These looked like huge sugar cookies wrapped ready for sale.
There booths also had sugared nuts and candy.

Elder Mooneven found a friend to stand by in the snow.

Another view of the beautiful Christmas tree.
