MISSIONARY GOOD-BYES AND HELLOS

Mission LIFE is a continuing series of

GOOD-BYES and HELLOS!

The last WEEK of October was just THAT.

GOOD-BYE to Sister Powles who was

going HOME.

GOOD-BYE to Elder Buckner who was

going to KATOWICE.

Sister Powles left to go home on October 28th.

The previos Saturday Sister Poludnikiewiecz

had a lovely Polish luncheon at the

church for her farewell.

SOUP course. She ALWAYS

serves soup!! at the beginning of the MEALS.

Today it was Mushroom Soup.

The morning of transfers Sister Powles, Sister Pritchett and

Elder Buckner were all going to Warszawa on the same very

early train. We took the Sisters to the Dworzec with Sister Powles' luggage.

We then went to the Elders apartment to get the Elders

with Elder Buckner's luggage and take them to the Dworzec

(Elder Buckner had to take all his luggage to

Warsaw to meet his new companion

from the MTC and then go to Katowice).

We were going to take pictures when we were all at the station!

WHOA!! The sisters got on the wrong train going

to Warsaw a half hour earlier than the one they were

scheduled to take so no pictutres of them leaving!!

The trains were two hours late getting to Warsaw

because of an accident some place on the tracks.

So they both missed meeting their new companions at

the Mission Home!!

LATER we went to the other station to meet

Elder Klosowiak's new companion and

district leader coming in from Katowice.

They had an appointment just as he arrived so we left the luggage

at the church until after Institute then

we took them to their apartment.

Just in time to be in for the night.
After we delivered the Elders to the church we also had

to get Sister Pritchett and Sister Steadman

from the Dworzec and take them to their apartment.

We put 50 kilometers on the car today!! And it was just in town!!

We are GLAD to be HOME!!
