LODZ WEDDING

We had a party for the bride at the church.
From the left: , Bosia, Viole (in red, the RS President),
(the BP wife), Zosia, Agata (the aunt of the bride),
Agata (in black and white, the bride), Sister Moon,
Orianna (the RS Pres daughter).
Another picture with Karolina (the bride's sister).
We sang a hymn and had prayer and Agata, the aunt,
read some interesting advice. We then ate and
everyone married told how they met their husband.
I enjoyed the social!!
The bride, groom and some of the party walked from their
apartment to the Lodz Registry Office for the wedding ceremony.
They are coming down the street. It is a busy street with
tramwei tracks and lots of cars.
Getting closer!

Turning into the parking lot.

The bride and groom and some of the band.

Guitar, tambourine and accordian. Good, happy music.

The happy couple.
The flowers in the background are
a bright spot for the day!!

Greeting guests who were
waiting for them to arrive.

The bride and groom entering the building.

The grooms father from Great Britain wearing the family tartan kilt. Someone noted he even had a knife in his sock. Tim said he had seen his father wear this only twice before.

Elder Moon visiting with the groom's
family from Great Britain.
His stepmother is on the left, his father and his aunt. His aunt is a leader in the Quaker Church in their area.

Guests waiting for the door to open to the
Registry Office for the wedding to begin.

READY!!!
The woman on the left performed the ceremony in Polish.
The woman on the right translated everything
into English.
The bride and groom listened and responded when appropriate.
A kiss was not requested nor required during of after the
ceremony. When it was announced that they were
officially man and wife a small band in the back
corner came out with a rousing tune of
congratulations for about 15 seconds.
The bride during the ring exchange.
After the ring exchange (not part of the ceremony)
the band played some romantic music. I can't remember what
but it was American.
Signing the official papers after the ceremony.

The groom gets to sign, also.
The Witnesses.

Downstairs we greeted the happy couple then could have a
