SOME BUILDINGS IN LODZ

Here are some pictures of some buildings in Lodz.
Elder Moon I walked with Christoph to the bank on Monday.
It was about 1 km from the church. We took our camera with us and took these pictures.
This house is across the street from the church.
It really is more run down than the picture shows but
at one time it must have been a very stately and lovely building.

The lines across this picture are lines for the trams that go through town.

Isn't this a lovely building? Beautiful architecture.

I really liked this building!!

Looking down Piotrkowska Street.
There are brick on the street and vehicle travel here is very restricted. It is Poland's longest promende and is lined with shops and more than 100 pubs and restaurants. They have rickshas or trams that will give you a ride of you want. You can see the round lights hanging. These are Christmas decorations still up. This is a very pretty street and most of the buildings we have seen are well cared for and nice.

Another view of P Street. Or the Elders call it that.

Isn't this a pretty building?

This is the top of the previous building. Also showing the tram lines.

An other view of P Street.
To the left at the side of the street is a statue.
It is of a grand piano with a piano player there "playing".
I hope you can see it with the lid open towards the street.
I plan to sometime take a better picture and post it.
It is supposed to be Arthur Rubenstein's piano. He was Polish.
