Our windows look out over a school for
very young children. Some mprnings we watch as
the children are brought to church by their parents or
gransparents. We can see their activities through the
windows and we enjoy this time and also makes us
homesick for our little ones at home going to school.
We have seen some come to school pulled in a
sled by Mother and some also pulled on a sled
behind Dad on a bicycle.
This is the school.
The porch is tiled and I have seen a woman
mop them about once a week.
It may be more often but that is what I have seen.
One day in the midmorning i saw some of the children out playing
in the snowy playground. Then it was time to come in.
I took these pictures of them coming into the school.
The teacher showed them how to bruch snow off
from themselves - their feet, their knees, arms,
shoulder, etc. Here they are brushing away the snow.
Next she had them brush each other off in places they
may not be able to see or to reach.
They then lined up and one at a time the teacher checked
them for snow. Even in the hoods of their coats.
The child in red had been one of the first ones in
line and was sent back to clean a little better.
I am pretty certain there was not so much as a
snowflake that made it into the building!!
I have seen the snowmesses in school halls
at home and this is a good way to have cleaner schools.
